Sweet Times at the NYC Candy Meetup

Last week's Pop Candy meetup at Lolita went way better than I expected -- somewhere between 40-50 readers showed up to express their support, and everyone had a fun time chatting, meeting each other and debating Lost, Star Wars, The OC and assorted pop-culture topics.

Let's start with a pic of the space, which was the perfect size and atmosphere. We pretty much took over the back room -- all of these people are Candy readers! We're a pretty attractive bunch, if I do say so myself.

On the left is Lance, an actor who brought a bazillion friends to Lolita. I think if I had a contest to determine the biggest Candy fan, he'd definitely be in the running.
