NEW OFFICE!!!

So Meetup has just moved offices. The new digs are sweet.

Probably the coolest thing is that one wall of our office is a picture from a Chihuahua Meetup group blown up to like 300%. Brendan and Camille purposefullly kept that as a little surprise for us.

Scott mentioned something in the staff meeting on Monday, which really rings true: an office like this is a huge responsibility.

Right now it's still kinda grassrootsy with a door missing from the cabinet in the kitchen, no desk drawers, no lights, etc. But soon enough everything will be functioning...That's a different world from the 2-foot tall ikea coffee table I was working on last week so that I could be near the air conditioning. (Not that things were sooooo difficult, I'm just saying that just about everything was jerry-rigged).

There's a lot to live up to here, and that's an exciting challenge. Other big change, we're all back on the same floor! And while that may mean a few more distractions for tech; I think it's great for company unity, morale and spirit to all feel part of this together.

Anyway, exciting times for Meetup, so I'm going to try to keep this blog fresher. Hopefully my next posts will be mroe interesting...
