Harry and the Potters to Charm Kansas City

Harry and the Potters, along with the Draco and the Malfoys, set to perform in downtown Kansas City.

July 14, 2006, Kansas City, MO -- This August 7th at Frank A. Theis Park from 7-9 p.m., Voldemort can’t stop the rock. Harry and the Potters, a two-man rock band along with Draco and the Malfoys will play a free show for all Harry Potter fans in the metro area. The Potters, known in fandom circles across the country, sport Hogwarts uniforms and perform original works in their own unique punk to emo to indie rock stylings. The bands both compose their songs based on events in J.K. Rowling’s phenom Harry Potter series and put on a costumed, riotously enjoyable, funny and best of all, all-ages friendly show. No Potter fan should miss this event, held at Theis Park, which is just off Volker and Oak in the Southmoreland/South Plaza area in an outdoor amphitheatre. The event is sponsored by the Kansas City Harry Potter Meetup, by Alivan’s, makers of fine wands, and by All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, “a great place for kids to explore their beliefs.”
